Youth Climate Pact Dialogue on sustainable mobility with European VP Frans Timmermans 

On 13 October 2022 from 10:00-11:00 CEST in Brussels, we will hold an exchange of views on urban mobilities (15-minute/people-centred cities, making urban centres accessible, inclusive and “green”), rural mobility off-urban centres and mobility between urban centres, and climate migration – on how to manage and plan climate-related migration flows.

Join us on 23 September from 1:15 – 3:00pm EDT for a dedicated moment highlighting progress towards the Generation Equality agenda. The event will be an important moment to reflect on one year of accountability and progress on the Generation Equality journey and to announce key developments, such as the membership of the Multi-Stakeholder Leadership Group. 


Global South-South Development 2022: “Promoting urban economic resilience in cities globally during and after COVID-19 through building knowledge base and interregional cooperation”


On 13 September 2022, 2.20 – 3.35 p.m. Bangkok time (9.20 – 10.35 a.m. CET), this side event will focus on the experience of the implementation of the global project “Promoting urban economic resilience in cities globally during and after COVID-19 through building knowledge base and interregional cooperation” in 16 pilot cities globally. The side event will launch the online training programme on urban economic resilience developed within the project.

Training on French Local Urbanism Plans (PLU) and consultation launch on the preliminary draft of the Development and Programming Guidelines (OAP) & regulations


A strategic document for the hometown of Génération Maastricht, Paris, the Local Urbanism Plan (PLU) defines the major development guidelines and regulates all construction in the city. In December 2020, the city council prescribed the revision of the PLU by approving the objectives of the process, the planned consultation procedures to which we are associated as a nonprofit.

Joint Workshop with the European Commission and environmental NGOs on the Aarhus Convention Compliance Committee findings in case ACCC/C/2015/128 and Commission State aid decisions


On 9 September 2022 from 10:00 – 17:00, the European Commission a virtual stakeholder meeting open to environmental NGOs, industry representatives (including small businesses) – to which Génération Maastricht participated.

A Year of Action: Building More Equal and Inclusive Digital Societies Through Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships  

On 21 September, from 4:00 – 5:00pm EDT, the Leaders and Commitment Makers of the Action Coalition on Technology and Innovation will come together to launch a year of action on the intersection of gender and technological change. The event will celebrate some of the Action Coalition’s achievements and highlight opportunities to join forces in the year to come around key milestones such as the 67th Commission on the Status of Women, the Women Deliver Conference, and the Global Digital Compact

Launching the Alliance for Feminist Movements 

Feminist movements play a key role in advancing gender equality, human rights and the sustainable development goals. However, despite these contributions, their role is chronically under-recognized and underfunded. The Alliance for Feminist Movements will be launched in the context of UNGA 77 to bring together national governments, philanthropic organizations, women’s funds, feminist organizations and international organizations with an aim to address these barriers and advance and coordinate financial and political support for these organizations and the critical role they are playing amidst global uncertainty.

Embracing the Principle of Co-Responsibility in Care and Domestic Work 

Join the Global Alliance for Care on 27 September from 9:00 – 10:30am EDT for an interactive high-level panel to strategize on how we can advance the social transformation of care work through a co-responsibility model. This entails redistributing care work more equally between women and men, as well as between states, financial institutions, communities, families and others. The panel will also discuss and learn from practices on the ground and identify policy recommendations to further strengthen the societal reorganization of care to help shape more equal and inclusive societies.
